I attended the Univ. of the Incarnate Word, San Antonio, TX (2006-2011) where I received my BA International Studies. I graduated with a GPA of 3.11. I did a semester abroad in South Korea in the fall of 2009.
Experience
-I want to be a tutor because I like to help kids and adults succeed. I make learning fun by applying my creativity and compassion. -I am currently a volunteer tutor with the Triangle Literacy Council so I am used to dealing with people who are not yet proficient in English. -In late 2011 I was a volunteer tutor with Project Read in Menlo Park, CA. I worked one-on-one with a poor-English speaking lady from South Korea. I helped her pass her TOEFL test in two months by assigning literature and visual materials (DVDs, CDs, websites, etc.). -In college I took classes on human rights, world politics, world history, and world religions.

Hobbies
-I like to read a lot of nonfiction books such as biographies and history. -I love to travel. I've made multiple visits to Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. -I love to exercise because my physical health is important to me. -I am currently studying for the Foreign Service Officer Test (FSOT) so I can represent our country in embassies overseas.
