For the past fifteen years, I have developed, implemented, and delivered language and literacy curricula (including English and Mandarin Chinese) for the children and adult programs in Taiwan, Pennsylvania, New York, and North Carolina. I am skilled in implementing student-centered, interactive, hands-on, and thematically contexualized lessons to promote student learning. I am also experienced in drawing curriculum from areas such as art, play, music, and language expression for building students’ enthusiasm for languages and developing appreciation of cultural diversity. Additionally, I am sensitive to students’ needs and interests and always strive to find new ways to accommodate a variety of learning styles.
